Each of us is unique by nature and has a distinctive style. It seems obvious, but is it? Self-expression and personal style of a dancer at a time when all couples look alike, make a similar set of steps, follow the same fashion in colors and styles, suffer under constant pressure to match competitors and please judges. Indeed, not an easy task. To develop your desire and talent, knowledge is required.
In my classes, we will learn:
- That emotion is a motion. - What is the difference between “Dance emotions” and ordinary emotions? - That free body is an opportunity to be expressive.
- What is the difference between self-expression and "expression-for-others"
- About the importance of intention
- How to create atmosphere in a dance
- What is my message to a partner, a spectator, a judge
- How to express yourself "in-to-out" and "out-to-in"
- Select a priority in the development of the dancer
- Determine strengths and weaknesses and work on them
- Work with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energy
And many other things that will allow you to be courageous, liberated and free in your art!
“We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. Yet it sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities but its own talents as well.” Bruce Lee
